YouTuber posts early benchmarks for iPhone 16e battery, cites larger size, longer runtime

The very first iPhone 16e comments have begun to filter in, and where Apple touted its “breakthrough” battery life for the handset’s new battery given the Apple Silicon architecture and iOS 18 code, YouTuber Dave2D has managed to get his hands on the internal parts of the new phone.

Dave2D examined the internal parts of the iPhone 16e, the battery has a capacity of 3961mAh, nearly double that of the iPhone SE’s 2018 mAh battery.

Here’s what’s to be found in terms of batteries among the rest of the iPhone 16 lineup:

iPhone 16 Pro Max: 4685mAH
iPhone 16 Pro: 3,582mAh
iPhone 16 Plus: 4,674mAh
iPhone 16: 3,561mAh
iPhone 16e: 3,961mAh

The iPhone 16 features the largest battery Apple has ever placed in a 6.1-inch iPhone. The unit is substantially larger than the 3279mAh battery in the iPhone 14 and should mean the iPhone 17 and 17 Pro are due for a bump in battery capacity.

Early testing shows that the iPhone 16e offers a battery life that rivals the iPhone 16 Pro Max and easily lasts an entire day.

If you’ve had a chance to get your hands on the iPhone 16e, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
