It’s probably not a good day to be on Apple’s network team.
Or at least there’s a lot of yelling involved.
On Tuesday, it was reported that Apple services are experiencing major issues.
It started with iCloud. Users were unable to sign in to their iCloud mail accounts, then all of iCloud went down in an outage that lasted from just before 5 a.m. Eastern to around 9 a.m. Now iCloud is back up, but customers can’t make purchases in iTunes, the iOS and Mac App Stores, and the iBooks Store. iTunes Connect is also offline and reporting errors.
Basically, if a service requires an Apple login, you might have trouble accessing it this morning. The problems aren’t just affecting U.S. Apple users, as The Next Web noted that the outages appear to be worldwide.
On a personal note, I experienced errors as of late last night when trying to download a copy of the Yosemite installer from the App Store as well as errors within the iTunes Store. It’s unknown as to what’s causing the outage or how far-reaching it might be.
If you’ve seen Apple ID-related errors on your end, please let us know about your experience in the comments.

I experienced an error with iPay this morning around 8:45am, followed shortly thereafter by errors in iTunes Radio on my laptop and desktop. I later had errors when in the App store when trying to download app updates.
