A few reports have been trickling in overthe past day with news that the higher-end configurations have begun to ship along with some built-to-order orders from the Apple Store. One reader passed us his FedEx tracking number and we’ve been following it out of Taiwan and into Alaska; this particular reader’s TiBook only sat in Anchorage for less than 5 hours so that might squash previous rumors and conspiracy theories of The Man deliberately sitting on a mountain of TiBooks (you know who you are).
So it’s good news indeed for those sitting in the Apple Store queue and enduring countless Apple Store Emails of Death. We’ll follow up on this story as the dam begins to break loose. Also stay tuned for O’Grady-San’s Macworld Expo Tokyo coverage starting later this week. We’ll try to coerce him out of the noodle house to bring you whatever Apple has up its sleeve this week. And don’t forget to check out the Tracker and submit feedback, corrections, and tips. I am Dr. Will, for publisher, O’Grady-San, who is on location and the rest of its staff, goodnight.
