Things 2.2.3 update released

Things for MacHot on the heels of Cultured Code‘s Things 2.2.2 update comes version 2.2.3 of the popular task manager, which adds the following changes:

  • Fixed a bug with Daylight Savings Time which can cause weekly repeating tasks to show in Daily Review a day early.
  • Fixed a bug where repeating tasks created on the Mac would show up on iOS with an end date of Dec 31, 4000.

The 2.2.2 update was the version bringing it up to speed with Mavericks compatibility and is the version currently available from the Mac AppStore. A 2.2.3 version should be appearing any day. If you are a pre-AppStore owner, the update can be obtained here, or by using Check for Updates in the Things application.

According to the Cultured Code Blog,

“Today’s release [2.2.2] improves the stability of several features and brings full compatibility with the new operating system. In particular, it fixes some issues we were seeing with Quick Entry and Reminders & Siri.”

Advice, if you are experiencing the aforementioned problems with Quick Entry, Reminders, and Siri, are as follows;

  • If you are having issues with Quick Entry, disable and re-enable the Autofill feature in Things’ Preferences, then reboot your Mac.
  • If you are having issues with Reminders, go to System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Privacy > Reminders and make sure Things has access.

Both the Things iPhone and iPad apps were also updated in the last couple of of days with bug fixes and stability improvements.
