If you’ve been hankering for a fourth season of Ted Lasso, you’re going to like this.
Following months of will-they won’t-they in interviews and press junkets, it appears that Warner Bros has picked up options for some of the main characters of the show, in preparation for a fourth season.
A new report claims that Warner Bros. has picked up the options on Hannah Waddingham, Brett Goldstein, and Jeremy Swift. Waddingham was AFC Richmond owner Rebecca Walton. Goldstein was the stern Roy Kent, and Swift played the team’s director of football operation.
According to Deadline, the next steps toward a fourth season could be to start reaching out to SAG-AFTRA members like Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt.
While there are still many steps to go, and there doesn’t seem to be a budget or a set schedule, the report claims that early preparations to fire up a writer’s room are being made. This could theoretically lead to an early 2025 start of production.
As expected, there has been no official comment from Warner Brothers or Apple TV+ on the matter.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
