What a difference a name change makes. Well, that and taking something out of its beta cycle. Apple removed the “beta” tag to its online suite of iWork apps on Thursday. The move means that anyone with an iCloud account can use Pages, Numbers, and Keynote on their browser.
It wasn’t the biggest update in the universe, but it might prove helpful. According to MacRumors and German blog Macerkopf, Apple on Friday updated iWork for iCloud with support for up to eight new languages and more than 50 new fonts. The changes were added to the cloud-based versions of Pages, Numbers and Keynote.
This may not be what Apple intended to have happen with iCloud. And there may be a patch coming for it posthaste.
