Even the big boys occasionally get hit with computer viruses, trojans, ransomeware, and malware. iPhone maker/supplier TSMC was shut down over the weekend when the WannaCry computer ransomware virus infected fabrication tools. The virus left the equipment unusable while it was being removed. The infection was detailed as follows:
It’s not a huge update, but it’s important. Apple released the HomePod 11.4.1 firmware on Monday. The maintenance release’s changes are a bit vague and Apple’s patch notes specify only that it, “includes general improvements for stability and bug fixes.”
