A new Sony PDA is due to be released in Japan on 07 April 2001, the Sony Clie PEG-N700C, according to reports from CNet and PalmStation.
A Sony executive said late last year the company may add new features to Clie by the middle of this year in a bid to revive slumping sales. The functions would enable people to listen to music, view clearer moving images and connect to mobile phones via Bluetooth wireless technology, said Shinsaku Inada, the Sony executive in charge of the device.
Seems like the Sony Clie PEG-N700C is still not where Sony would like to be. Some specs of the new model:
- 320 x 320 resolution w/ reflective TFT screen
- 8 MB RAM
- 33 MHz Dragonball VZ processor
- Better JogDial integration
