On Thursday, version 6.2.73.1117 of the Skype VoIP application was released. The new version, a 41.5 megabyte download, offers the following fixes and changes:
– eGifting: Skype user can now send a gift of credit to anyone they care about on their birthday.
– One-way SMS without verifying your mobile number.
Skype 6.2.73.1117 is available for free and requires an Intel-based Mac running Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later to install and run.
