Accessory maker Satechi has announced its new M4 Mac mini stand and hub, which offers owners of the desktop up to 4TB of fast SSD storage, together with an SD card slot and three USB-A ports.
The upcoming device will be similar to the model already available for the previous generation Mac mini, with the company stating it should be available in the spring of 2025.
The unit offers up to 4TB NVMe storage with a data throughput up to 10Gbps as well as front-facing USB-A ports. Satechi’s unit is also designed around optimized airflow, complete with heat-disippating vents.
While going all-in on legacy USB-A ports might seem an odd choice for a 2025 product, the Mac mini itself does offer two front-facing USB-C ones.
Two of the ports are USB 3.2, supporting 10Gbps, while the third is a USB 2.0 port offering a far more sedate 480Mbps.
- Satechi says the SSD slots support most current SSD card sizes:
- 2230
- 2242
- 2260
- 2280
Finally, customers who sign up to the company’s email list to be notified as to when it’s available to order will receive a code for 20 percent off.
