You may not love hearing it, but the rumor mill has Apple’s 2020 lineup as launching in late October, as opposed to the usual September launch.
Per Mac Otakara, multiple rumors in Apple’s supply chain have suggested that some, if not all, of the 2020 model iPhones will arrive later than September given Coronavirus-related delays. Apple could unveil each of the models in September, but launch the devices at a later date.
The last time Apple delayed a launch after an announcement was with Apple’s iPhone XR in 2018, when the handset was announced in September but launched in late October.
Rumors have also indicated that Apple’s LTE iPhone 12 models will be released in October, while 5G models will follow in November.
Apple is expected to release four iPhone variants this year, including a lower-cost 5.4 and 6.1-inch iPhone 12 models and higher-end 6.1 and 6.7-inch iPhone 12 Pro models.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
