This could put a crimp in the Titan project/Apple’s car plans.
The current rumor has it that Apple’s Steve Zadesky, who is said to be leading Apple’s ‘Titan’ project, is leaving the company.
Zadesky is apparently leaving for personal reasons and not due to performance-related issues.
While this is a setback, it’s unknown as to how deep the impact of his departure will be and if a replacement is being groomed to take over.
It’s also unknown as to whether the Titan project is an actual car, or simply software that manufacturers like Ford or Toyota can put into future models.
Interestingly enough, it’s also been reported that Apple has bullishly pressed its car team to meet deadlines that may not be realistic. Perhaps delays were in the offing anyway, Zadesky or not.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
