On September 7, alongside the new iPhone 14 models, Apple will announce its anticipated Apple Watch Series 8.
To that end, Twitter user ShrimpApplePro has offered the following potential tidbits about the upcoming smartwatch.
- Aluminum in starlight, midnight, product red, and silver
- Stainless steel in silver, graphite, and gold
- No titanium model in this version
The leaker also doubled down on how 41mm and 45mm models would be available for the Series 8, just as they’d been for the series 7. He also offered the following about the seal box design and how it would feature additional glue:
[Apple will add] more glue underneath the pull tab so when tearing that, it will leave traces of glue, showing that it has been opened. This will also apply for the iPhone boxes
The leaker also stated that stocks “…are going well, so I’m assuming there will be little to no shipping delay when ordering it [the Apple Watch Series 8].”
The box will apparently also include a band and a USB-C to MagSafe cable to charge the Apple Watch.
Shrimp didn’t mention a new body-temperature sensor as being one of the main feature of the Apple Watch Series 8, and stated that the sensor will also be available with the rumored Apple Watch Pro.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
