It’s small, but it shall be updated.
The rumor mill has it that Apple’s cool-but-out-of-date Mac mini is getting a hefty refresh this fall. In addition, Apple is apparently targeting the pro user community with the new machine, which saw only minor improvements four years ago, and its last major changes came back in 2010.
Per Bloomberg:
The computer has been favored because of its lower price, and it’s popular with app developers, those running home media centers, and server farm managers. For this year’s model, Apple is focusing primarily on these pro users, and new storage and processor options are likely to make it more expensive than previous versions.
Also in the rumor mill, insider sources are stating that a new 13-inch MacBook will debut this year, complete with a Retina display that could make it a MacBook Air replacement.
