Per the rumor mill, Apple is expected to release redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro notebooks between September and November.
According to the latest edition of his Power On newsletter, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman says the updated notebooks will enter production in the third quarter and can be expected to be announced by Apple “between September and November at the latest.” Apple last year announced an updated MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini powered by the M1 processor in November.
Gurman notes that Apple had originally planned to release the new MacBook Pros earlier this year, but continued complications around mini-LED production delayed their launch.
The new MacBook Pros are thought to incorporate new changes such as flat edges and more ports, with Apple introducing mini-LED displays in the notebooks (the same ones used in the current high-end 12.9-inch iPad Pro) as well as next-gen Apple Silicon processors.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
