November looks to be the month where Apple releases its big gun.
Apple has been teasing the launch of the 12.9-inch iPad Pro and sources have indicated that the tablet will launch on November 11th, or Veterans Day. There’s no word yet on whether the company will open up preorders a week early, like it did for the latest iPhones and Apple TVs.
The iPad Pro starts at US$799 for the 32GB Wi-Fi model, then hits US$949 for the 128GB Wi-Fi model, and tops out at US$1,079 for an 128GB version with both Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity. The Apple Pencil, which is Apple’s version of a pressure-sensitive stylus, and the Smart Keyboard will be sold separately, for US$99 and US$169, respectively.
Standing as the centerpiece of this year’s iPad line, the iPad Pro will support all of the multitasking features coded into iOS 9 and is seen as the thing that could revive the iPad line, which slid by 20 percent in the fourth quarter of 2014.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
