Rumor: Apple to delay production of larger, 12.9-inch “Pro” iPad until Q2

The larger, “pro” iPad could be pushed back yet again.

The 12.9-inch “iPad Pro” that was expected to make its first public appearance around April before being pushed back to Q2 has been postponed according to a Bloomberg report. The new release date is reportedly some time in September, right around the next-gen iPhone launch.

This delay is said to be the result of display panel supply problems.

The larger tablet is expected to include an A8X processor built by Apple and is far enough along in the development process that leaked images and specs have filtered out to the media.

The delay makes sense after a fashion, especially given the new processor and the fact that Apple has historically never released a next-gen iPad this early in the year.

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.

Yes! The configuration of Apple iPad Air2 and Mini3 have same configuration. They just have a little difference in the fingerprint scanner, and price. However, if these features seem ignorable to you, then it is better going with the iPad Air2.
