As much as you love the 3D Touch feature on your new iPhone, Apple Watch and Mac trackpads, it won’t come out for the iPad Air 3 until sometime in 2016.
The current rumor is that the iPad Air 3 will be released in the first half of the year, but it will be missing the 3D Touch feature. Anonymous sources at KGI Securities have been quoted as saying that “production issues within Apple’s supply chain” have led to the delay.
It’s been speculated that Apple will release the iPad Air 3 at the company’s spring event, possibly in March. Also rumored to be on the agenda at this event are the unveiling of a budget-friendly 4-inch iPhone and a second-generation Apple Watch. The 4-inch iPhone is rumored to not have 3D Touch, either.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
