If you’re looking to snag a new Apple Watch and do some good in the process, Apple may have a (PRODUCT)RED Apple Watch Series 5 headed your way in 2020.
The report hails from French web site WatchGeneration, which stated that an unreleased Apple Watch fitting this description appeared in an unspecified Apple database, adding that it would likely be an aluminum model with a similar red finish as the iPod touch. The new color would be offered alongside existing silver, space gray, and gold aluminum casing options.
It’s unknown as to exactly when such an Apple Watch model would be released, although it’s thought that spring could be a possibility. Apple introduced (PRODUCT)RED versions of the iPhone 7 and iPhone 8 in March 2017 and April 2018, respectively.
Apple donates a portion of proceeds from every (PRODUCT)RED product sold across its product line to The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria, and has raised more than $220 million since 2006.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
