It’s a rumor, but it’s an interesting one.
Capping off a few weeks of evidence accumulating which suggests that Apple might be planning a spring event, German iPhone rumor site iPhone-Ticker has suggested that Apple is planning a special event for the end of March.
The report cites sources directly related to Apple and says that the event “will take place at the end of March.” The most likely date suggested by the report is Tuesday, March 31. From there, Apple would reportedly release the iPhone 9 (or iPhone SE 2) on Friday, April 3.
Apple has historically held keynotes during March in past years, and held a event on Tuesday, March 25th to unveil new services such as Apple News+, Apple Card, and Apple Card in 2019. In 2018, Apple held an event on Tuesday, March 27 focused on education and new iPads.
It’s thought that Apple could hold a media event on March 31st of this year, and then release the iPhone 9 on April 3rd, as well as iOS 13.4 sometime that same week. iOS 13.4 is expected to include new features such as iCloud Drive folder sharing, new Memoji stickers, and much more.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
