With the 9.7-inch iPad Pro’s announcement around the corner, a fairly grounded set of rumors pertaining to the price have surfaced.
The tablet will arrive at a starting price of $499 for the 16GB model, $599 for the 32GB Wi-Fi model and the high end will arrive with 128 GB of storage and Wi-Fi/LTE capability, albeit its final price is not yet known.
Apple is expected to announce the new iPad at its media event on Monday, March 21st.
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro is thought to balance out the iPad line. While it won’t replace the $499 iPad Air 2, it does occupy sort of a middle ground, especially since supplies of the original iPad Air are said to be dwindling as Apple looks to discontinue this table in the future.
The 9.7-inch iPad Pro will include many of the same features as the iPad Pro. The device will include a design that features four stereo speakers around the sides, a “brighter” display that supports the Apple Pencil, a Smart Connector for a new proportionally-sized Smart Keyboard, and an A9X processor with more memory. One hardware difference will be that the 9.7-inch version will include a 12 megapixel camera and 4K video recording, not an 8 megapixel sensor.
Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
