Sometime after Apple said they would not support video acceleration in OS-X for G3 Macs with ATI Rage cards they reversed that decision. It is my understanding that 10.1.5 includes support for the following cards:
- 0x4749 – “3D RAGE PRO (BGA, PCI)”
- 0x4750 – “3D RAGE PRO (PQFP, PCI)”
- 0x4c4e – “3D Rage Mobility (AGP)”
Does anyone know which Macs these shipped in and if support will be expanded in Jaguar. Specifically, I have friends with a 333MHz iMac and G3 (400MHz ZIF upgraded) all-in-one who want to know before ordering Jaguar. Also, has ATI provided any OS-X drivers for retail Rage cards?
