Myst, the classic puzzle adventure game that may have driven you nuts back in 1993, is en route to your iPhone or iPad. Myst Mobile is based on the remastered version of the original that’s been released for Oculus headsets and PCs over the past few years as a 30th anniversary edition.
The iOS/iPadOS port will support iPhones and iPads with A12 Bionic chipsets and newer. Compatible iPhones include the XS, XS Max, XR, and newer; the eighth-gen iPad, third-gen iPad Air, and fifth-gen iPad Mini and newer will all be compatible, too.
The latest version will feature a revamp via the Unreal Engine, offering a more photorealistic look for the game’s graphics.
The new version will be free to download, and you can play through the game’s first location, Myst Island, for as long as you want without paying anything. To explore any of the other locations, you’ll need to pay the full $14.99 retail price.
Cyan, the game’s developer, has yet to provide an exact launch date for the title.
