Mac Components Engineered, a Go2Mac.com sponsor, has announced the availability of the new 48 GB PowerBook expansion bay hard drive. The new drive is certified for use in the PowerBook G4 (Titanium), PowerBook 2000 (FireWire), PowerBook G3 Series 1999 (Bronze, Lombard) and PowerBook G3 Series 1998 (Wall Street).
The new drive is based on the IBM Travelstar 48GH mechanism, which is the world’s quietest and industry’s highest capacity notebook drive according to an IBM press release. Specifications:
