According to a myriad of reports coming in after less than 24 hours of being released, Mac OS ROM Update 1.0 [2089 KB] may not be the be-all end-all to the USB issues that were introduced with Lombard. According to one reader:
I have a three-day-old PowerBook G3 (bronze), and its ROM is already at version 1.6. Nevertheless, I have USB keyboard problems (the keyboard is a MacAlly iKey).
Several other readers with later model Lombard have confirmed that their units shipped with the Mac OS ROM version 1.6 already installed.
