You can now use Apple Pay at various Lowe’s retail locations throughout the United States.
While the payment option has been available in the Lowe’s app and the Lowe’s website for some time, the company has been a longtime Apple Pay holdout for its retail store locations. As noted over on Reddit, Lowe’s employees said in late December that they had received a memo about the upcoming Apple Pay and contactless payment rollout, which was set to begin on December 20.
The Lowe’s home improvement retail chain currently has more than 2,000 locations in the United States, placing it second only to Home Depot. Accepting Apple Pay could lure customers to Lowe’s over Home Depot, as Home Depot does not currently accept the payment technology.
If you’ve tried Apple Pay over at a Lowe’s location in the United States, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
