In as much as Sony Pictures didn’t want its emails leaked to the public, this may provide a good idea as to what’s gone on behind the scenes of the much-anticipated Steve Jobs biopic.
The answer is that a lot’s been happening, complete with name calling, insults, intimidation, lying, begging and name dropping as the studio vied to find the perfect lead for the part of Jobs himself.
The emails, which were dated in February and reposted on Defamer, discuss Aaron Sorkin’s adaptation of Walter Isaacson’s Steve Jobs biography, how Jobs himself would be portrayed, whether Sony would assign resources to the Jobs movie or Angelina Jolie’s Cleopatra epic and a bevy of verbal back and forth between Sony Pictures co-chariman Amy Pascal and controversial producer Scott Rudin.
Head on over and take a gander if you’re interested. And if you thought a good Steve Jobs movie was around the corner, you might have to wait a little while longer.
