Keyspan is shipping the Digital Media Remote, a remote-control system for iMacs that consists of a 15-key Infrared remote control, an Infrared base station that connects via USB, and software that controls the computer through a keymap.

Prophets of the Golden Convergence say that computers like the iMac will become more like all-in-one entertainment centers with TV, stereo, and Internet capabilities. If that’s true, who would want to watch TV without a remote?
