Apple newsletter hints of new product introduction by “Joz” during his feature presentation at Macworld Creative Pro next week in New York city.
In the Apple eNews newsletter I received yesterday, I noted some hints that Greg Joswiak has been given the reigns to introduce the next Apple Product. From the article:
“One more thing…
If you?re in New York for next week?s Macworld CreativePro conference, you?ll want to be among those who get to see the new Power Mac G5 during its first public display. And don?t miss Greg Joswiak?s feature presentation. “Joz,” Apple?s VP of Hardware Product Marketing, addresses the CreativePro crowd on Wednesday, July 16, from 9:30 to 10:30 am.”
In Jobs-speak, ‘One more thing’ means new product. My guess is that Joswiak gets to pull the rabbit out of the hat. Based on what we know of PPC 970 development, it won’t be a G5 PowerBook.
Take into consideration what was said after the WWDC by Joswiak:
“Motorola is huge for us,” said Joswiak. “Our partnership with Motorola is not going away, G4s are in every other part of our product line. As you can see, [the G5] is not going in a PowerBook anytime soon. Motorola remains very important to us, but IBM is the one that can take us to the next level.”
One could surmise that the Al 15-inch PowerBook G4 will be unveiled during his speech.
