Apple’s iPhone 6s and 6s Plus are now available for purchase in India. The rollout, the fastest to date for India, prices the new iPhone at ₹62,000 (US$960) for the 16GB entry model, or ₹72,000 (US$1,100) and ₹82,000 (US$1,300) for the 64GB and 128GB variants. As for the iPhone 6s Plus, prices for the 16GB, 64GB and 128GB models are ₹72,000 (US$1,100), ₹82,000 (US$1,300) and ₹92,000 (US$1,400) respectively.
The handsets will be available in 12,000 retail outlets throughout India, including large chains like Croma and Jumbo, alongside Flipkart and Amazon. For those looking for the previous generation of iPhone, the base price for the 16GB iPhone 6 has fallen to ₹52,000 (US$800).
