iOS 13.5.5 beta code references hint at possible bundle pricing for Apple services

Once again, it’s the beta version that might foretell what to expect in upcoming versions of iOS 13.

A group of code references found within a recent iOS 13.5.5 beta distribution hints at a service bundle that could include Apple Music, Apple TV+, and more in a single subscription.

While reports of an “Apple bundle” aren’t new, Apple allegedly spent much of 2019 negotiating deals with music producers and publishers to bring their content together via a single subscription. If bought separately today, a Family Sharing combination of Apple Music, News+, and TV+ would total $30 per month.

With this bundle, Apple could offer all its digital services at a lower price and also keep users even more tied to its ecosystem.

The iOS 13.5.5 beta’s internal files reference a “bundle offer” and “bundle subscription” that hadn’t appeared in previous iOS versions. These codes are related to the management system of Apple’s own services subscriptions like Apple News+, etc.

While nothing’s set in stone and it could take some time for a bundle option to appear, this might forecast a new direction for iOS and Apple’s services.

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
