This could definitely come in handy.
Or at least let you know if your passwords need to be updated.
Last Wednesday, Google launched its Password Checkup feature, a new program that scans all your passwords that you’ve saved in Chrome against lists of known leaks to see if your passwords have been compromised.
The feature builds on top of the password manager Google built into Chrome late last year.
To use Password Checkup, head over to passwords.google.com, click the “Check Passwords” link, log into your Google account to verify your identity, and Google will scan your passwords, generating a report that identifies reused passwords, compromised passwords, and weak passwords. Sifting through the list also serves as a helpful reminder of any throwaway accounts you may have created for various websites might want to delete.
Chrome then offers to change your flagged passwords using its built-in password manager.
If you’ve had a chance to try Google’s Password Checkup, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
