According to a story on CNet.com Fujitsu is planning a 120GB 2.5-inch hard drive that’s perfect for notebooks. As an added bonus the drive will incorporate “new technology to reduce noise and power consumption and make the drive more forgiving of bumps and shocks.” The 4200RPM mechanism (yeah, sorry) will be available to laptop manufacturers in May under the model number MHV2120AT. Perfect timing for Apple to include it in the PowerBook G5 which is expected in the June/July 2005 timeframe.
