First iPhone 11 Pro Max teardown surfaces, shows larger battery, more compact logic board

The very first iPhone 11 teardown has arrived via YouTuber Channel, which shows off the intervals of the forthcoming handset. As previously rumored, the iPhone 11 Pro’s logic board has changed back to a rectangular design, we get a look at the larger battery, Face ID and camera modules, and more.

The teardown video confirms the larger 3,969 mAH battery capacity. This is roughly a 25 percent improvement over the iPhone XS Max’s 3,174 mAH capacity battery. Unlike the iPhone XS Max battery, the new, thicker L-shaped design isn’t separated into two parts.

As expected, Apple has moved back from an L-shaped logic board to a rectangular one, as confirmed in the video. The footage also confirmed the more compact logic board, which is nestled between the new larger triple-camera module and the large battery.

The teardown also takes a look at the new triple-camera module and the updated front-facing camera/Face ID module. The video is narrated in Vietnamese, with iFixit teardown narrated in English just around the corner.

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
