On Monday, Epic Games announced that Fortnite, the popular co-op sandbox-survival game, is available on iOS for all users, without an invite.
Epic Games offered the following via Twitter:
“No invite needed – Fortnite is now open everywhere on iOS. Grab your friends and jump in now!”
Fortnite launched on iOS as an “invite event” three weeks ago, limiting its availability to a limited number of iOS users. With the surge of downloads right off the bat, Epic Games reportedly created over $1 million of revenue within three days of the launch.
Epic Games also released its first major update to the game, including new weapons, antialiasing, Party Text Chat, and much more.
Fortnite for iOS is a free download from the App Store and requires iOS 11 or later to install and run.
