Never doubt a steadily-updated program.

– Fix Windows installer sometimes failing to install properly.

New:
– A new tray popup that combines the old tray menu features with a timeline of the most important sharing events in your Dropbox.

– Notifications menu is only enabled on OSX 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard) and above, and on Windows XP and above.

Dropbox 2.0.21 requires Mac OS X 10.4 or later to install and run.

And yet, they can’t incorporate something like Sparkle into the DropBox app for updating. You have to manually check their website [or find out some other way] that an update is available and manually download and install it every time.

Sucks, right!?!?!? My version of DropBox is always reporting that it is up to date, until I see it elsewhere, like this article. As great as DB, you would think they could include a decent update feature….

When DropBox says “Up-to-date”, it means that all files in your DropBox folder are the latest versions. While I am a bit disappointed by DropBox’s lack of auto-update, it does have a uniquely smooth update process on the Mac: the first time you open the new app it automatically replaces the old one and unmounts its own DMG.
