Dropbox adds new Transfer feature, allows for files up to 2 GB to be sent to users who don’t have Dropbox accounts

This is pretty nifty.

Dropbox has introduced a new feature called “Transfer,” which allows users to send files up to 2 GB, even to recipients who do not have a Dropbox account.

Any file can be sent, and they don’t need to be in the user’s Dropbox. Notifications can alert users as to when a file has arrived as well as how many times it’s been viewed. Furthermore, recipients do not have access to the original file, meaning it remains intact. Those with a Dropbox Professional account can also set an expiration date on the transfer, password protect the file, and see who has downloaded it.

Definitely cool. If you’ve had a chance to try out Dropbox’s new Transfer feature, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
