Accessory company Brydge has opened pre-orders for its updated Air Max + keyboard for the iPad Air. The new keyboard features a native multi-touch trackpad, backlit keyboard, and magnetic attachment.

The latest Brydge keyboard for iPad Air comes after the 10.2 Max+ and 12.9 Max+. The Max+ series features a redesigned keyboard and trackpad with better connectivity and also includes antimicrobial protection and a plastic finish.

Brydge has stated that its native multi-touch trackpad is the largest available for the iPad Air, and also supports gestures like the Apple Magic Trackpad and connects over Bluetooth 5.0 with zero lag.

The Air Max+ keyboard offers a function row and backlit keys, with the company citing a 3-month battery life between charges, which the unit itself can be recharged using USB-C.

The Air Max+ is compatible with all generations of the 11-inch iPad Pro and the iPad Air 4. It retails for $149.99 on the Brydge website. Orders will ship in June.

Stay tuned for additional details as they become available.
