If you can’t wait for Apple to release a tablet-based Mac you grab one today from (where else?) eBay. Back in 2004 Joseph DeRuvo Jr. created the first tablet Mac by cutting into an iBook and installing an extra 40GB drive, flash card reader, three FireWire ports and a kiosk touch screen from Troll Touch. Now this little piece of history can be yours.
Joe’s reason for selling it: “I am a Photographer and not a paid Product Designer I have to work within a limited budget , also my wife will take away my tools and lock me out of my shop if I spend any more money on “things I think should work”, and I would not blame her!”
If owning this little piece of history floats your boat – bid away!
While we’re at it, let’s not forget about the Dashboard Mounted iBook.
