Apple has once again updated the firmware for its AirPods, releasing version 3E751 of the firmware for the second-generation and AirPods Pro earbuds, albeit it’s unknown as to what improvements or fixes the new firmware brings.
While there’s no standard way to upgrade the AirPods firmware, the general approach is an over-the-air approach while the AirPods are connected to an iOS device. Users should place the AirPods in their case, connect the AirPods to a power source, and then pair the AirPods to an iPhone or an iPad should force the update after a short period of time.
You can check your AirPods or AirPods Pro firmware by following these steps:
Connect your AirPods or AirPods Pro to your iOS device.
Open the Settings app.
Tap General.
Tap About.
Tap AirPods.
Look at the number next to "Firmware Version."
