Roughly a week after Apple launched its macOS Big Sur operating system to the public, the company has released a new build of macOS 11.0.1 with likely bug fixes and performance improvements, though apparently only for select users.
Instead of debuting Big Sur with version 11, Apple launched the public release with 11.0.1 which gave it a chance to make some final updates and fixes.
The new version, which was discovered by tech journalist Aaron Zollo features an updated macOS 11.0.1 build number 20B50. Zollo has stated that it looks like you need to be updating from a pre-Big Sur version to get the new build and it’s thought that the tweaks may be minor.
It’s also been noted that the new 20B50 11.0.1 build has also appeared in the release channel of Apple’s developer website.
If you’ve tried the new build and have any feedback, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
