If you recently snagged a new third-generation Apple TV 4K 128GB model, you’re going to want to update its software.
Apple has released an update to tvOS that fixes a problem with the third-generation Apple TV 4K 128GB models after a bug prevented users from utilizing all of the device’s available storage.
The bug, which was noticed in a review earlier this month, prevented the Apple TV 4K 128GB model from being able to install more than 64GB worth of content.
Apple in turn released its tvOS 16.1.1 update to exclusively address this bug and to allow it to use the entirety of its storage. Additionally, users have the option to either wait for the update to automatically install, or they may manually update their device through Settings > System > Software Updates > Update Software.
If you’ve had a chance to try the new tvOS update, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
