Apple releases macOS Ventura 13.5.1 update, chases after Location Services bug

You can’t say Apple doesn’t chase after its bugs.

Apple on Thursday released its macOS Venure 13.5.1 update. The update apparently only included a System Settings fix for a problem that prevented location permissions from appearing. According to Apple’s security releases support document, “this update has no published CVE entries.”

The update arrives three weeks after Apple’s macOS Ventura 13.5 update, which included nearly 30 security updates.

Apple’s next major macOS update will likely be the release of Sonoma this fall. It’s rumored that the update will arrive around October, alongside the release of new M3 Macs around the same time, which could include a new MacBook Air, 13-inch MacBook Pro, and iMac.

If you’ve tried the macOS Ventura 13.5.1 update and have any feedback, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
