Apple releases macOS Ventura 13.4, iOS 16.5, and iPadOS 16.5 updates

It was essentially an update-o-rama on Thursday as Apple released its long-awaited macOS Ventura 13.4, iOS 16.5, and iPadOS 16.5 updates.

The macOS Ventura 13.4 offers the following fixes and changes:

  • Sports feed in the sidebar of Apple News gives easy access to stories, scores, standings, and more, for the teams and leagues you follow
  • My Sports score and schedule cards in Apple News take you directly to game pages where you can find additional details about specific games
  • Resolves an issue where Auto Unlock with Apple Watch does not log you into your Mac
  • Fixes a Bluetooth issue where keyboards connect slowly to Mac after restarting
  • Addresses a VoiceOver issue with navigating to landmarks on webpages
  • Fixes an issue where Screen Time settings may reset or not sync across all devices

The update can be located, downloaded, and installed by going to System Settings > General > Software Update and installing from there.

Apple also released version 16.5 of its iOS 16.5 and iPadOS 16.5 mobile operating systems for its iPhones and iPads. While the beta versions of the update indicated that features on the way included a dedicated Sports tab in Apple News, additional screen recording instructions for Siri, and a four-screen picture-in-picture mode for the Apple TV app, the public released stated only that performance improvements and fixes had been made.

For iOS and iPadOS, users can navigate to the Settings app, select General, then tap Software Update to locate the update.

If you’ve had a chance to try any of the updates, please let us know about your experience in the comments.
