It’s not a huge update, but it paves the way for some more substantial changes down the road.
Apple on Monday released its iOS 14.2.1 update for its HomePod and HomePod mini smart speakers. The update comes a few weeks after releasing the operating system for the iPhone and iPad in late November. It also offers bug fixes and other improvements for these devices.
If you’d like to install the update, follow these directions:
Open the Home app on your iPhone and go into the settings for your HomePod. While iOS 14.2.1 fixed certain bugs for the iPhone, it just mentions “general performance and stability improvements” when it comes to HomePod.
