In the wake of the migrant crisis, Apple has Apple has added a banner to its U.S. website that allows customers to donate to the American Red Cross through the iTunes Store to support the refugee and migration crisis across the Mediterranean Sea and Europe.
Users can donate in tiers of US$5, US$10, US$25, US$50, US$100 and US$200.
The donations are processed as regular iTunes Store transactions with the entire proceeds going to the American Red Cross. Apple has ran American Red Cross donation campaigns several times in the past for crises such as the 2015 Nepal earthquake, 2013 Philippines typhoon, 2012 Hurricane Sandy, 2011 Japan tsunami and 2010 Haiti earthquake.
