The ultra-expensive $10,000 Apple Watch is no more.
In its place, Apple has released the $1,249 Ceramic model, which serves as Apple’s new top shelf unit.
Apple is currently touting the Ceramic model’s durability and scratch resistance as a luxury feature worth the extra money. The company is claiming that the proprietary metal is four times harder than steel and thus that much more durable.
The Ceramic model accompanies the other models of the Apple Watch: Series 1, Series 2, Series 2 Nike+ and Series 2 Hermés. The Series 2 is still available in a “Rose Gold” flavor as well as an assortment of other colors.
If you’ve been pondering the new Apple Watch or its Ceramic edition, please let us know in the comments.
