Apple Music to introduce Set List feature, allowing artists the chance to curate playlists from setlists

Apple is looking into allowing musicians and bands to curate playlists of their setlists and show them off in the Apple Music app.

The feature would allow the artist. to turn a setlist into a playlist that’s also available in Apple Music. In a shared guide titled ‘Promote your shows with Set Lists’ on the Apple Music for Artists site, Apple suggests connecting your Apple Music Artists account with the concert-info website Bandsintown so that it can automatically sync upcoming show dates. The user can link to an event with the website, manually enter a band and a date, and be able to create playlists of previous shows and future ones.

Unfortunately, these songs may not necessarily be live cute, but rather the studio version or whatever track is available on Apple Music. Still, this could add some variety as to the music you hear from your favorite artists. Apple has also added that artists could make playlists for every show they’re doing on a tour as well.

It’s unknown as to exactly when the feature will appear in Apple Music, but it could help make a neat thing that much more interesting, even if it could also present a potential spoiler as to the upcoming music at hand.

Please let us know what you make of this in the comments.
