While the focus of the Apple media event centered on the iPhone 7 and the Apple Watch Series 2, Apple nixed the 16 GB model of its iPad variants and is now offering 32 GB, 128 GB and 256 GB storage capacities.

The iPad Pro has had the biggest shakeup with pricing on higher storage tiers falling. The 9.7 inch iPad Pro costs $599 for 32 GB, $699 for 128 GB, and $799 for 256 GB. The 12.9 inch iPad Pro costs $799 for 32 GB, 128 GB for $899 and 256 GB for $999.

The iPad Air 2 is now available in 32 GB and 12 GB capacities and can be purchased for $399 and $499. The iPad mini 4 is the same storage options and the same price points.

The iPad mini 2 seems to be on its way out, as it’s currently being offered in only a single 32 GB configuration at a $269 price point.

Apple is expected to bring out a new lineup of iPad in 2017, complete with storage capacities identical to its other iOS devices.

Finally, Apple also introduced a variety of new colors for its iPad Silicon cases as well as Smart Covers.

If you’ve had a chance to snag one of the new iPads in its larger storage capacity, let us know what you make of it in the comments.
