Apple’s apparently adding to its list of information providers for its Maps application.
Although the company continues to have TomTom at the top of its list of data providers, additional contributors cited on the acknowledgement page include, E-WEGO SARL, NavAds BV, and Yellow Pages Turkey. The new data sources are likely noticeable in regions around the world including France and Turkey where the information is sourced.
New data providers have been added on occasion, Apple recently adding Gas Buddy and GreatSchools for points-of-interest and ratings data for its mapping service across iPhones, iPads, and Macs. The company is also rumored to be looking into integrating mass transit data into Maps’ information feed.
